CRS Rally School and Mistubishi Lancer Comparison Test

The Smoking Tire attends the California Rally Series’ School in Ridgecrest, CA, to learn how to compete in Rally America and California Rally Series Events (hint, hint). While there, we take the opportunity to find out if the Lancer Ralliart is worth the extra money over the Lancer GTS by flogging them in the dirt.

    WHY NO TIMES!? The assessments of both cars were solid and enjoyable, but why not time the two and see which is really faster (or how much faster)?

      It would have been the most pointless-obvious race in history. The Ralliart is much faster, in every way.

        Sure it's faster, but how much? On a tight dirt track like that the ralliart's hp advantage should be weakened, leaving the real contest up to the car's suspension and AWD. Plus I'm assuming the standard lancer is a tad lighter. In the hands of a good driver the two cars could be closer than you'd think in certain situations.

        There's always a segment of your audience interested in numbers ;)

    was there anything added on to the ralliart? if not then the difference is close to $6k which is even MORE worth it
