On Wednesday, we were fortunate enough to head down to the Metal Mulisha compound in Temecula, CA to watch Team Ford Rally practice for this weekend’s X-Games competition. This place is literally a car/bike/toy guy’s wonderland, with acres and acres of dirt, foam pits, garages, and jumps. It’s literally perfect. Ken Block, Tanner Foust, and Brian Deegan hustled the shit out of their Ford Fiesta rally cars around Deegan’s custom rally course, and we were there to catch all the action. Hint: They all looked fast. Check out the video after the jump.

Well shot video…..what kind of camera/mount did you use to get the on-car footage?
We use VHoldR Contour 1080 HD's, with suction cup mounts.
Some really cool shots there! Those guys have such a life.
Is the sound half decent on the contour cameras Matt? I’ve been thinking of getting 1 for when we hit the Tail of the Dragon next week to throw something together.
the sound kind of sucks on the contours, it's ok for in-car or something like that, but we never, ever use the sound on those cameras on our videos.
Great video. Awesome shots, and holy balls what a front yard. You should sell this vid to ESPN to run during down time at the XG.
What was that chirping noise i kept hearing when the cars were running the course?
it's called "surge" and it's sort of like a blow-off system for race cars. not exactly the same thing, but it prevents the built up boost from grenading the engine when you get off the gas.
I actually got to see the rally at X Games. It was so awesome.
Those are some awesome shots! Block sure knows how to drive!
great vid! those mulisha guyz rock! ya kno ford should really give the u.s. a festiva awd wit turbo at a lower price point than a subaru.. hmm just a thought they did great in the games!
