By now, we all know that Tanner Foust has some skills behind the wheel. From drifting public roads to winning two gold medals at X-Games Rally and Super Rally, Tanner is the kind of driver we like to get behind, and a damn good friend to The Smoking Tire. Tanner has been competing in the European Rallycross series this year, and for the first time, rallycross has come to America, at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Competing against some of his biggest X-Games rivals, including Dave Mirra, Travis Pastrana, and Andrew Comrie-Picard (ACP), Tanner positively wiped the floor track with them all, and got himself a well-deserved first place. I love Subaru's rally cars, but damn are those Fiestas quick. Almost a little too quick, though. Is Ford buying out the officials and running with illegal mods? Maybe I just need to take off my tin foil hat.
the Fiestas are quick, but in all honesty, Tanner is an amazing driver. A lot of the other Formula D guys make great stunt drivers, but when it comes down to a real competition, Tanner is like fucking Jordan.
I do track days…but man what I wouldnt give for a tenth of the skill that guy has forgotten! Awesome!
I like Foust and there's no doubt he's a very talented driver.. hell just the other day I saw him destroy Paul Tracy on Battle of the Supercars in the Ferrari Experience.. but I dunno, I like to see him drive and that's about it. He lacks a bitch of persona, not a bad guy by any means but not too entertaining unless he's behind the wheel.
He'd make a great Stig, but a not so good Hammond.. stature and all.

There's a lot of race car drivers that don't come across as sociable and easy to get along with on tv, but when you get to the track and talk and joke around with them they couldn't be nicer people. Tanner seems like a really cool guy and he can drive his ass off.I live 20 mins from njmp but couldn't make that. Really wish I could have.
