2011 has been a good year for The Smoking Tire. We’ve doubled our subscriber base, our view counts, and been mentioned on many television shows. We’ve traveled to some amazing new places, and met real car guys from all over the country. But most importantly, of course, are the cars we took to get there. We’ve driven lots of different cars this year, old and new, and, like everyone else this year, we have to choose the best ones.
So we’re having a contest. Below you’ll find the list of all the cars I have driven this year. Some of them, you will notice, are not brand new cars. Some of the cars are subjects of our films. Others are subjects of written reviews either here or for Road Lanes Magazine, and a few cars on the list are for reviews or films that we are working on but have not yet posted. Some of them I tested on The Car Show, but my review was edited out of the aired version of the show, you know, for time.
There are three categories: Sedan, SUV/Truck, and Sports Car. I’ll decide my favorite car from each segment. Leave a comment below with your selections. If you and I have chosen the same cars, you win a free TST “Will Work For Keys” T-Shirt.

Sports Car: GT-R, but only because I'm a Nissan fanboy.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the 1M or the Boss slotted in there, though. Hell, out of the entire list I only see a couple that aren't contenders. It all depends on what you're looking for.
I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I didn't want to drive everything there. I need to find my way into car journalism or something.
