Corey Hosford joins Chris Forsberg Racing!!

“Zombies. Patriot bike. Air-brushed sneaks. Burn some tires… Yeah, I’d say that’s about a normal Tuesday.”

By Zack Klapman

That’s right folks, our little boy Corey Hosford’s all grows up. Fellow Nissan driver and former Formula D champion Chris Forsberg has tapped Corey to join his new racing team at Chris Forsberg Racing.  For those that don’t know, Corey is an extremely talented driver. He made podium 3 times in his first season out, and he only drove in 5 events. We filmed Corey’s driving for an upcoming episode of TUNED, and it was pretty incredible. He followed the entire Bondurant AutoX course…just, sideways, and dumping smoke. Impressive.

On top of his skillz (That’s right, with a ‘z’), if you’ve seen the Bloodmasters videos or (my favorite) “Keep Drifting Fun“, you might see why Chris would choose the man you see above. Besides being an immensely talented driver, Chris clearly saw that Corey has the same gene of ridiculousness that he does. Who rocks a mustache, air-brushed sneakers, and occasional wigs to Formula D? Corey does. Showmanship people. He’s one of the funniest people we’ve ever been around. Forsberg takes over race tracks with his fellow Bloodmasters like pirates returning to shore, and Corey prints out shirts with his own face on them. Why? Because it’s hilarious that’s why. Trust me.

Together these guys will be a force on the Formula D circuit. In the off season Corey is a professional driving instructor at Bondurant School of High Performance Driving, and Chris Forsberg is Chris Forsberg. If there’s a team booth to visit at the events, it’s theirs.

Jump for pics of Corey’s car and more info.

Corey’s Nissan 350Z is headed out to MA Motorsports/CFR, where they’ll be replacing the beastly blown LS motor that powered the car we filmed  (coming up soon on TUNED) for a more reliable, more powerful unit. Yeah, because what I thought while riding around Bondurant looking out the side window, the engine so loud the nearby stock cars said, “Damn dats loud.”, was “This engine is kinda ‘meh’.” But no one can argue with more reliability and more power. Would you turn down a free pony that shit chocolate chip cookies? No you would not.

Look for a lot more of this in 2013, with Corey and Forsberg lining up like an even more deranged Irish army. With these two guys on the same team, you don’t need to worry that drifting will cease to be fun.

What are they going to that is more reliable and can produce more power than an LS…?

    • TheSmokingTire

Still an LS, but all motor, with more power than the supercharged one he had.
