The Smoking Tire was founded in 2009 as a way to improve upon the already-successful internet series Garage419. We are real car guys, making car videos because it’s what we love. Back in the day, we watched automotive programming on TV, and with the exception of the mega-budget Top Gear, everything else was terrible. We figured that we could do better from our own home, and with our own money. We drive them, often times way too hard much, write about them, photograph them, amd make  films with them. And we were right. From our headquarters in Playa del Rey, CA, we produce The Smoking Tire video series, as well as Tuned on YouTube’s premium /DRIVE Channel.

The Smoking Tire is available as a fully, functional in-house production company available for editorial as well as for promotional work.
