Today marks the 1,000th episode of Fast Lane Daily, the second-longest running show in YouTube’s history, and unquestionably the most prolific automotive show on the internet. It’s also a particularly special occasion for me personally, as the first hosting job I ever had was for Fast Lane Daily, back in 2007, when I was asked to be a location correspondent at the SEMA show. (Holy shit, I just looked at that episode, it has 1.2 million views).
Fast Lane Daily also helped launch the careers of many people who are now online automotive personalities, such as JF Musial, Alex Roy, Leo Parente, The Smoking Tire cameraman/editor/psychopath Tom Morningstar and, of course, Derek DeAngelis, who has been consistently hosting Fast Lane Daily since 2006.
To commemorate this occasion, they spent $1,000 in the best way possible: take one lap of the Nurburgring. Video after the jump.
