Matt Interviews Jay

In the summer of 2008, I took a tour of Jay Leno’s Garage, and interviewed the man himself for over 3 hours about his collection, what he loves about cars, and life. You can find the entire set of interviews over at Fast Lane Daily, though you may have to search a bit, but what you won’t find is my own personal mega-gallery of shots taken inside the garage. I never intended on publishing these photos, but since Jalopnik ran quite a few photos of the inside of the garage yesterday, what’s the harm?

German Car Museum of the Week #2 – Porsche

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

DSCF2220My short list of places to visit in Germany has now dropped by two, after last week’s Audi Museum Gallery. Not only is the building itself beyond gorgeous, the machinery inside really reminds you how Porsche has led the way in sports and racing cars over the last sixty years.

In fact, odds are I’ll get to do something like it before I even turn 30. Knowing myself, I’ll save it till the last minute, and end up driving a 1994 Peugeot with three plastic hubcaps and a 1-liter hamster wheel under the hood.

Like my car insurance, I just saved a whole bunch of money on that trip because The Smoking Tire viewer Edward0 Hofman took the trip for me, and sent back a ton of photos! We’ll break them up into German Car Museum Segments #1-4, one for each marque. Today, we bring you Ingolstadt’s finest work: The Audi Museum
